Happy Birthday to Brutal Honesty!
The Brutal Honesty brand has reached a milestone! No, it’s not our millionth sale, although we are progressing nicely in that direction – and we have big plans for whoever “wins” that accolade. So what is the milestone? As of February 11, 2026, our brand is two months old! Happy birthday to us!
Two months ago, Brutal Honesty went live with an operational ecommerce presence on the internet. We started our Product Shop with just a few items, mundane merchandise that you see, use, wear, or engage with every single day, with a snarky, sarcastic or dryly witty tagline tacked on to get a message across. One human, one AI, and one image generator created the brand’s intellectual property from ideas to images to internet-entrenched – and here we are today, two months later, celebrating with you!
To help us enjoy this happy day, spend some time browsing the merchandise in our Product Shop. We have everything from coffee mugs and candles to tote bags and tech gear, complete with sassy, smart, and snarky taglines that speak the truth or say “the thing” you’d really rather say out loud. Grab something for yourself, a friend, a co-worker, or anyone else that has a truth that needs to be said or read.
When you stop by for a visit to the shop, don’t forget to sign up for our email subscription. Subscribers get the latest blog posts, news, feature product content, and other information as it goes live, and we also provide promotions and discounts that are exclusive to subscribers – right in your inbox!
Check out our social media presence, as well, and find and follow us! Make sure you like and share our social content so you can help us get the word – and the message – out and about where it needs to be seen and heard. Those of you who want to help support the brand can do so by making a donation or becoming a supporter. We can’t do it without you, and we appreciate all of you who help us keep going and growing!
As always, the truth looks good on you, my friend!

First off I want to say wonderful blog! I had a
quick question that I’d like to ask if you do not mind. I was interested to find out how
you center yourself and clear your head before writing.
I have had trouble clearing my thoughts in getting
my ideas out there. I truly do take pleasure in writing however it just seems like
the first 10 to 15 minutes are lost just trying to figure out how to begin. Any ideas or hints?
Many thanks!
I have been writing since I was a teenager (so, over 40 years now), so it’s something that generally comes easy for me. I wrote poetry a lot when I was younger (and still do occasionally), and for the past 13 years or so, I have been a copywriter/ghostwriter. In that capacity, I write business-focused material about management, marketing, online content creation and curation, and so on. When I don’t have a specific topic in mind and have to come up with one on my own, the easiest way for me to focus and get started is to first figure out the central point of what I’m writing. Answering a question? Explaining something? Discussing pros and cons? Instructional? Whimsical? (In that arena, I’ve also written short stories and done some fictional world-building.) If you are wanting to connect with an audience – find out who your audience is and what they want to know. You can do a lot of research on things like that (specifically, identifying a target audience or identifying the wants/needs of that audience). The “who, what, where, when, why, and how” of things also comes into play a lot with writing. Lately, in the past 6 months or so, I have also been using ChatGPT as a writing tool (more like a collaborator in some ways). ChatGPT can help you focus and refine quite a bit, whether you are trying to decide on WHAT to write, WHO to write it to, or HOW to say it.
Have you ever thought about including a little bit more than just your articles?
I mean, what you say is valuable and everything. But just imagine if you added some great
pictures or video clips to give your posts more, “pop”!
Your content is excellent but with images and video clips,
this site could undeniably be one of the very best in its field.
Amazing blog!
The blog content is at the bottom of the list for what’s valuable on this site, but thank you. I am only adding blog posts to keep that ‘side’ of the site active to search engines. The product shop is the only essential component, because people who shop don’t read blogs while they do it, and people who read blogs don’t shop while they do that. (Also, you don’t even know what ‘field’ you are referring to when you comment about ‘one of the best in its field’ so – thank you again, but you don’t need to spam comment here.)
